Overview
Settings > Connections links Broki to the tools you already use: email, calendar, video meetings, social messaging, loan origination platforms and SMS. Each connection unlocks something in Broki, such as sending email from your own address, two-way calendar sync, meeting links on bookings, or syncing deals with Velocity or Finmo.
Also called: Connections.
Connections are personal: each team member connects their own accounts. The counter at the top of the page shows how many of your email, calendar and origination platform connections are active. Video, social messaging and SMS connections aren't counted.
At a glance
At a glance, Connections is where each person links a mailbox, one calendar, and the other tools Broki can use.
You can connect one mailbox, Gmail or Outlook, to send email from your own address. Connecting one disconnects the other.
You can connect one calendar, Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar, for two-way sync.
Microsoft Teams links use the Outlook Calendar connection. Google Meet links use the Google Calendar connection.
Video, social messaging, and SMS are not included in the active-connections counter. Velocity and Finmo are.
Only one mailbox can be connected, Gmail or Outlook, and it sends email from your address. Only one calendar can be connected, Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar, and it syncs both ways. Microsoft Teams links use the Outlook Calendar connection. Google Meet links use the Google Calendar connection.
Before you begin
Before you connect a tool, confirm you can open Connections and that pop-ups are allowed.
To open Connections you need the Integrations Settings and Access Integrations permissions. Both are on by default for every role. Without access, the page shows "You don't have permission to access integrations."
Setting up Twilio needs the Manage Twilio Integration permission, which only admins have by default.
You'll sign in to the other service (Google, Microsoft, Zoom, Meta) in a pop-up or new page. Allow pop-ups for Broki.
Use the work account you want Broki to use. You can only connect one Google or Microsoft calendar at a time.
Never send passwords, API keys or tokens to anyone, including Broki support. Enter connection details only in the Broki settings page or the provider's own sign-in screen.
Step-by-step instructions
These steps cover opening Connections and connecting or disconnecting each kind of account.
Open Connections
To open Connections, go to Settings and choose a category on the left.
Open Settings.
Under Integrations, select Connections.
Choose a category on the left: Email, Calendar, Video call platforms, Social messaging, Origination platforms or SMS Platforms.
Connections groups each tool into one of these categories.
Connect your mailbox
To connect your mailbox, connect Gmail or Outlook so Broki can send from your address. You can connect one mailbox at a time.
Connecting your mailbox lets Broki send email from your own address and bring your conversations into Broki.
Select Email.
Select Connect Gmail or Connect Outlook.
Sign in to your Google or Microsoft account and approve access.
You can connect one mailbox at a time. Connecting Gmail disconnects Outlook, and connecting Outlook disconnects Gmail, without asking first.
What happens: the row shows Connected and "Connected as" your address. Outlook connects through Microsoft sign-in, "no password sharing".
Resend is always shown as Active. It's Broki's built-in sender and is used when you haven't connected a mailbox. You don't need to set it up.
Connect your calendar
To connect your calendar, connect Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar. Only one calendar can be connected.
Calendar sync is two-way: "events appear in both places; conflicts flagged automatically."
Select Calendar.
Select Connect next to Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar.
Sign in and approve access.
Before you continue: you can only have one calendar connected. If the other is connected, Broki asks you to confirm in Switch Calendar Provider. Connecting the new calendar disconnects the old one.
What happens: the row shows Connected, your calendar address and Last synced. Select Sync to sync Google Calendar immediately.
Add video meeting links
To add video meeting links, connect Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or Google Meet.
Select Video call platforms.
For Zoom, select Connect. Zoom is there to "connect to generate meeting links". Once connected, it's "used when scheduling calendar events".
For Microsoft Teams, select Connect. Teams adds "a Teams link for every booking" and uses the same connection as Outlook Calendar.
For Google Meet, select Connect. Meet adds "a Meet link for every booking" and uses the same connection as Google Calendar.
Sign in and approve access.
If Teams shows "Reconnect Outlook Calendar once to allow Teams meeting links.", select Reconnect to enable Teams links.
Connect social messaging
To connect social messaging, bring WhatsApp, Messenger, or Instagram into Broki.
These bring messages from your business channels into Broki's communications.
Select Social messaging.
For Facebook Messenger, select Connect and choose your Facebook Page.
For Instagram DM, select Connect and sign in with your Instagram business account.
For WhatsApp Business, enter the Phone Number ID from your Meta business setup and, optionally, the Business Account ID. Select Save WhatsApp config. Once connected, send yourself a Test message.
What happens: each row shows Connected, with your Page name, Instagram username or Phone Number ID.
Connect Velocity or Finmo
To connect Velocity or Finmo, link the account so deals and mortgage files sync.
These connect your loan origination platform so deals and mortgage files sync automatically.
Select Origination platforms.
On Velocity Integration or Finmo Integration, select Configure.
Follow the on-screen steps to link your account. The card also shows the webhook address to add in your Velocity or Finmo account, with step-by-step instructions.
Select Configure integration.
What happens: Broki shows "Velocity integration configured successfully!" or "Finmo integration configured successfully!" and the card shows Connected. For Finmo, select Test Connection to check the link.
Don't send these connection details by email or chat to anyone.
Set up Twilio for SMS and calls
To set up Twilio for SMS and calls, save your existing Twilio number and test a message.
Twilio is set up per person, using a phone number you already have in your Twilio account. Broki doesn't sell or assign phone numbers.
Select SMS Platforms.
Select the Twilio row ("SMS, voice calls, recording, and forwarding") to expand it.
Enter your Twilio account details and phone number, then select Save SMS config. Copy the webhook address shown and add it to your Twilio phone number's settings.
Enter a destination number and select Test SMS.
Optional: on Browser Calling, select Enable Browser Calling to make calls from Broki using your Twilio number.
Optional: set up Call Recording, Call Forwarding and Business Hours.
What happens: Broki shows "SMS configuration saved successfully" and the row shows Connected.
Disconnect a connection
To disconnect a connection, use the control for that row. Disconnecting stops what that connection provides.
Before you continue: disconnecting stops the feature that connection provides. For calendars, "synced events remain but will no longer stay in sync."
This table shows how to disconnect each connection.
Connection | How to disconnect |
Gmail, Outlook | Email > Disconnect on the row |
Google Calendar, Outlook Calendar | Calendar > Disconnect. Outlook Calendar asks you to confirm; Google Calendar disconnects straight away. |
Zoom | Video call platforms > Disconnect |
Microsoft Teams, Google Meet | Disconnect, then confirm. This also disconnects the matching calendar. |
WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram | Social messaging > Disconnect on the row |
Velocity, Finmo | Manage or Configure > Remove integration, then confirm |
Twilio | Contact support. There's no disconnect button. |
Removing Velocity or Finmo asks: "Are you sure you want to remove your Velocity integration? This action cannot be undone."
Disconnecting Microsoft Teams also disconnects Outlook Calendar. Disconnecting Google Meet also disconnects Google Calendar. Connecting the other mailbox disconnects the previous one. Switch Calendar Provider disconnects the previous calendar.
Practical examples and other ways to use it
These examples show sending from your own address, blocking busy times, adding meeting links, answering Messenger, and syncing Finmo.
Send from your own address. Connect Gmail so emails you send from Broki come from your Gmail address and replies land in your inbox.
Avoid double bookings. Connect Google Calendar so busy times in Google block your Broki booking pages.
Meeting links on every booking. Connect Google Calendar, then Google Meet is ready too. Clients who book get a Meet link automatically.
Answer Facebook messages in Broki. Connect your Facebook Page and handle Messenger conversations alongside email and SMS.
Sync with Finmo. Connect Finmo so new deals created in Finmo flow into Broki.
Common mistakes and how to avoid them
These mistakes cover personal accounts, switching calendars, disconnecting Meet, webhooks, and sharing keys.
Connecting a personal Google account. Clients see the address you connect. Use your work account.
Connecting Outlook Calendar while Google Calendar is in use. Only one calendar can be connected. Switching disconnects the other and its meeting links.
Disconnecting Google Meet to remove meeting links. It also disconnects Google Calendar. Check before confirming.
Skipping the webhook step for Velocity or Finmo. Without it, deal updates from those platforms don't reach Broki.
Sharing connection details by email. Never send keys or passwords. Enter them only in the Broki settings page.

Tips and best practices
These tips help you connect the tools other features rely on, and avoid two people claiming the same WhatsApp number.
Connect email and calendar on day one. They're what most other features rely on.
Disconnect when someone leaves. Ask departing team members to disconnect their accounts, or ask support for help.
Test after connecting. Send a test email, a test SMS or a test WhatsApp message to yourself.
Agree who connects shared accounts. A WhatsApp number can only be connected by one person, so decide who on your team owns it and your Facebook Page.
Limitations and important behavior
These limits describe one mailbox, one calendar, shared meeting connections, and tools you cannot connect yet.
Only one mailbox can be connected per person: Gmail or Outlook.
Only one calendar provider can be connected per person: Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar.
Microsoft Teams links use your Outlook Calendar connection; Google Meet links use your Google Calendar connection.
Quo and RingCentral are shown as Developing soon and can't be connected yet.
Velocity and Finmo connections are per person. Each person can have one of each.
Twilio has no disconnect button on the page.
Rackspace email is no longer offered for new connections. If you connected it earlier, you can still disconnect it.
Frequently asked questions
These questions cover sending without a mailbox, who can connect Gmail, disconnecting, and using two calendars.
Do I need to connect email to send emails from Broki? No. Broki sends through its built-in sender. Connect Gmail or Outlook if you want emails to come from your own address.
Can my admin connect my Gmail for me? No. Each person connects their own account by signing in.
Will disconnecting delete my synced events or messages? No. Existing events and messages stay. New changes stop syncing.
Can I use Google Calendar and Outlook Calendar together? No. Connecting one disconnects the other.
